About e-boat

e-boat is a boat rental marketplace for Malta and Gozo: the place to find a boat for the day and book it online, with a skipper or self-drive. We do not own boats. What we do is put the people who have them in front of the people who want a day on the water, handle the booking and the money, and check that every vessel on the platform is what its listing says it is.

Seven kinds of boat can be listed here, and between them they cover most of what a day on Maltese water looks like: motorboats, yachts for a private charter, large boats for a group, party boats, fishing boats, traditional Maltese wooden boats, and jet skis. Where a trip goes is decided by the boat and by the skipper, and the waters these day trips are usually run in are the ones anyone comes to Malta for — Comino, the Blue Lagoon and the Crystal Lagoon, Gozo and Ramla Bay, Dwejra, the Blue Grotto, St Paul's Islands and the Grand Harbour.

Every boat is owned and operated by a local host. Before a listing goes live we see its registration, its insurance and the skipper's licence; a listing without all three does not get published. That check is the whole reason the platform exists — anyone can put a photograph of a boat on the internet.

The money is held until the trip happens. Hosts are settled after departure, guests are refunded according to the cancellation policy, and the deposit goes back unless there is a damage dispute that is upheld.

e-boat is in beta

The platform is currently offered as a beta service: features may change, and availability, prices or details shown may occasionally be wrong. Verify anything that matters — the meeting point, the time, what is included — directly with the host before you rely on it. Beta status does not take away any right you have as a consumer.
